HELLO
My name's Chris, I'm 28, and I live in South West England. I'm Communications Director at Open Bionics, a robotics start-up creating super cool bionic arms for amputees. In my spare time, I write short-form fiction and over the past three years I've been fortunate enough to win a few awards. I studied English & Creative Writing at Royal Holloway University Of London, and have a post-grad diploma in digital marketing. 

In July 2018, I won the Fabula Press Short Story Competition, and a couple of years ago I was handed the Gregory Maguire Award for Short Fiction, presented by Michael Morpurgo (author of War Horse), in addition to a TSS International Writers Award. My short fiction has been published in acclaimed New York journal Bellevue Literary Review, the Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook, the Bath Short Story Award Anthology and twice in the Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology. I’ve recently had short stories published in Iota Magazine, Bare Fiction and Crannog, Ireland's premier fiction magazine, and my work has also been shortlisted for BBC Opening Lines, the Royal Academy & Pin Drop Award and the Colm Toibin Short Story Award.
